Food-Grade Materials: The inner liner of this KitchenAid mixer attachment is made of rust-free aluminum alloy, and the plastic shell is PVC—both food-grade materials that ensure no leakage or breakage even with long-term use; important note: do not use metal spatulas or utensils to scoop ice cream, as this will damage the inside of the freezer bowl.
Cleaning & Storage: This KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker includes a crusher and drive assembly—both are dishwasher-safe—while the ice cream bowl can only be hand-washed with warm or cool water; the bowl must be thoroughly dried before placing it in the freezer, and it’s recommended to store the bowl at room temperature when not in use.
